Sheikha Hanadi Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani

Chairperson

Sheikha Hanadi is the Founder & Chairperson of Amwal, founder & CEO of AL Waab City Real Estate development project, Vice Chairman of Nasser Bin Khaled AL Thani & Sons Group, Founding Chairperson of Q-Auto.
A fervent supporter of entrepreneurship and its positive effect on the community, Sheikha Hanadi serves as a trustee on the board of the College for Business and Economics at Qatar University, the Chairperson of “INJAZ Qatar” and board member of “INJAZ AL Arab” the regional arm of “Junior Achievement Worldwide”, a member of the ME Board of “Planet Finance”, a member of the Board of Governance of the Pearl Initiative, a member of the advisory board of the Harvard Business Review Al Arabiya and a Founding co-Chairperson of the 30% Club GCC chapter.
Over the span of her career, Sheikha Hanadi sat on various boards and committees, she served as a board member in “Dana Gas”, as an Executive Committee Member in “Silatech”, as well as a Special Advisor to Standard Chartered Bank and a member of the Bank’s Gulf Advisory Council (GAC).
She was a member of the Advisory Board of the MIT Legatum Center for Development and Entrepreneurship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Receiving numerous awards and recognition, Sheikha was named Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2005 and voted as personality of the year by Arraya, Qatar’s leading newspaper, for her vision and contribution to the economy. She was named Woman CEO of the Year by the Middle East CEO Awards Institute in 2006, for her significant contribution in developing Qatar’s economic and social presence in the Arab world., she was selected by Arabian business magazine to be one of the 100 world’s most influential Arabs for the consecutive years , she was also named the economic personality of the year 2007 by Qatar chamber of commerce and business council , Sheikha Hanadi was voted, by the Financial Times in 2008, among the top 20 global banking and finance women role models and in 2008 and 2010 she received the ‘Businesswoman of the Year ’award by ITP publishing Group.
Sheikha Hanadi holds an Executive-MBA from London Business school, a Masters degree in Economics from the University of London, and a Bachelor degree in Economics from Qatar University.

Sheikh Mohamed A. J. Al Thani

Vice Chairman

His Excellency Sheikh Mohamed A. J. Al Thani is a former Minister of Economy and Trade in the State of Qatar. Previously he spent over seventeen years working in the oil and gas industry, mainly with Qatar Petroleum, RasGas and QatarGas. His main activities now are consulting, energy research, and the GCC political economy, for which he is a visiting fellow at the Oxford Centre for Islamic studies. He is a board member of the London Business School global advisory board and a visiting board member of the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University. He holds a BAA in Industrial Management and Supervision from Central Michigan University, a Global MBA from Duke University, and a Senior Executive programme from London Business School. Shaikh Mohamed has authored two books; The Arab Spring and the Gulf States "Time to Embrace Change" and Jassim, the Leader Founder of Qatar.

Hani Abdo

Executive Director

Hani Abdo is a focused and energetic senior operations and investment professional with over 24 years of experience with blue chip organizations, private equity and family groups. Hani’s passion for investment and operations keeps him deeply involved in all aspects of the operating as well as investment cycles providing strategic direction and driving value for all stakeholders.
In his current capacity as Chief Executive Officer of Nasser Bin Khaled Al Thani And Sons Holding Company (“NBK”), Hani has strategic and operating roles at the group level, is a member of NBK’s board of directors, and sits on the credit, remuneration and executive management committees. Hani also represents NBK on the boards of its joint venture partnerships.
